ACTING OUT A MATH PLAY: The students create their own math play using dance and song about the math concepts shown in the movies. For example, they can demonstrate addition with one student hopping into a circle, followed by two more students hopping in and joining hands to form a group three, as the whole class shows the math with their figures and sings 1+2=3 in the language of their choice. Students can create more math plays by hopping to the center in numerous combinations. This helps the students extrapolate new math problems and strengthens their understanding of addition.
